The BFSA Executive Board and the Disability Committee have worked hard to bring you an optional Supplemental Short Term Disability Income Insurance coverage through Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company. The Funds have agreed to deduct the premiums from your paycheck should you choose to enroll in this insurance program. Transamerica will be coming to the break room in November to present the information regarding this benefit in workshops held in the Break Room during your lunch. There you will be given everything you need to know about the Supplemental Short Term Disability Income Insurance program by Transamerica. The workshops will be held as follows: Short Term Disability Workshop 9th Floor Break Room November 6 12pm-3pm 9th Floor Break Room November 7 12pm-3pm Hicksville Break Room November 14 12pm-3pm Important update: the workshop scheduled for November 13th has been cancelled. Please note that any and all questions regarding this new Short Term Disability Supplemental Insurance benefit must be directed at Transamerica, as neither the BFSA nor the Funds are responsible for the administration of the Short Term Disability Supplemental Insurance policy.
