BPF 8/12/2020 (FYI BFSA Members)
As advised in July, we begin our transition back to work at 498 Seventh Avenue on Monday, August 17, with most of you on a three-week rotation schedule: You will work one week in the office, followed by two weeks working remotely. You should have received your assignments from your managers, so please report to work on your designated day—and remember to bring your current staff ID card.
A MESSAGE FROM MITRA BEHROOZI AND DONNA REY
We want you to know how much we appreciate your professionalism and flexibility in adapting to a changing environment. The COVID-19 pandemic presented us with numerous challenges as we continued to service our members remotely. Now that public health efforts have succeeded in flattening the curve in New York, it is important for us to return to working onsite for our members—most of whom work in essential positions that do not allow them to work from home—as well as for each other.
Your safety and well-being—and that of our members—is important. Please know that we have taken steps to make working at our new home at 498 Seventh Avenue as safe as possible for everyone. And, as you have been hearing from us for more than a year now, we have also taken steps to make your working environment as pleasant as possible. We were pleased to hear from many of you during your orientation how much you liked the modern, light and attractive new space.
Between now and August 17, our in-house team will continue to finalize preparations for your return to our “new normal” and to help ensure that the transition back to the office is as smooth as possible. When you return to the office, you will also need to do your part, which includes wearing a face covering properly and following social-distancing rules while in the office.
We look forward to seeing you over the next few weeks.
