Longevity Increase CBA Changes


This is to update everyone on important changes as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Benefit Fund Staff Association and 1199 SEIU Benefit and Pension Funds as discussed in our Emergency General Membership Meeting that took place on June 23rd 2016. Please request all documents distributed at the meeting at your BFSA office or refer to email sent by your President, Nelsun Rivera dated, June 30th, 2016.

Our CBA was ratified on March 29th 2016. This is to be considered the Effective date for most items in our agreement. On July 1st, 2016 the entire document will be in full effect and a fully Bound Document will be made available to All Staff soon.

The highlights are as follows:

Flex time: Effective July 1st the agreed upon Flex Time Policy will include 10 15-minute Flex Time Occurrences per month. This applies to all departments.

Vacation: Accelerated Vacation time will be made available upon request to staff on January 1st of each year. Follow the normal process of requesting a vacation.

401K Plan Changes: It has been Agreed that the Fund will a one-time matching of our 401k plan. This item is time Sensitive so please reach out to Richard Kral for Enrollment and additional information. Please see the attached documents for instructions.

Wage increase on October 1st 2016: This follow the League of Voluntary Hospitals as always

Longevity increase: After 20 years of service a $15 increase will become available to staff. After 25 years another increase of $15 will be made.

Tuition reimbursement: This Benefit has been increased from $5000.00 to $5250.00

Side bar letter items: DBL Vendor (6 months to find a vendor) , Classification schedule IE: QCR-IV ( To be discussed during LMM Meetings), Transit policy: No Changes!
